The BMV-700 battery health monitor is a new high-precision battery health monitoring system (6.5-95V 1-999Ah), the successor of the bmv-600s model.
The monitor can be used for lead batteries (liquid, GEL, AGM), but also for LiFePO4.
The basic function of monitoring the battery status is the calculation of the amount of ampere-hours consumed and the state of charge of the battery /SOC-state of charge/. Ampere-hours consumed or supplied are calculated by integrating the charging or discharging current of the battery. It is therefore the most accurate technology for displaying the remaining battery capacity.
With this battery tracker, you can monitor for example the following parameters:
- Battery voltage
- Current flowing to and from the battery
- Consumed Ah
- State of charge in % (sophisticated software is used for calculation, considering the Paukert exponent, which can be set...see Manual below)
- Remaining battery life
- Visual and audible alarm: overvoltage and undervoltage, and/or low battery
- Programmable alarm or relay to start the generator
- Historical data, records of highest and lowest values, number of alarms, time since full battery charge
- Etc...
